Three-Legged Woman: new drawings by Anna Wehrwein
An exhibition of small, vibrant, and populated works-on-paper that consider drawing-space and social space as a site of intimacy.
Anna Wehrwein is an artist originally from the Boston area. She received her BS in Art and BA in English/Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her MFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of Tennessee, where she was the recipient of the Herman E. Spivey Graduate Fellowship. Her work has been featured in New American Paintings and Friend of the Artist and during the summer of 2017 she was an artist-in-residence at Vermont Studio Center. She has exhibited nationally, including recent shows at The Mint Museum (Charlotte, NC), Fluorescent Gallery (Knoxville, TN) and an upcoming show Blue Spiral 1 (Asheville, NC). She currently lives in Columbia, MO where she is a Visiting Assistant Professor of painting and drawing at the University of Missouri.
