The experience of switching places and being a newcomer has made me keenly aware of my surroundings. When looking at land and artifacts, signs and traces, I am looking at context and history as well. I love the freedom of digital photography. It gives me room to experiment while taking pictures and even more through the alchemy of Photoshop and other editing software. I often create visual multiplicity through layers and diptychs to challenge the viewers’ perception. My recent projects involve nostalgia, technology and the history of place.
