Lauren Adams is an East Tennessee painter creating nocturnal landscapes from the quiet marks we leave behind while sleeping.
Statement:
I paint the physical marks our bodies leave in our place of rest after we wake from our journey into the dream realm in a two part sister series the "Nocturnal Landscapes" and "The Dream Vortex". These paintings explore the quiet marks we leave after we wake, the thin veil into the dream world, and our dual existence in both realities simultaneously.
