Statement:

I view my work in the same kind of realty as the couch I sit on everyday and the plants I water a few times a week. The cushion on the couch has an indent from my weight and the plants will die without my attention. The fabrics in my paintings have been touched and have stains from use. My eyes can look at them and remember how they felt in my hands. I am attentive to the domestic quality that comes from these found fabrics and work them towards a scale that cannot easily fit in a living space. My paintings are not the piles of clothes on my floor I ignore until laundry day. They are my plants that demand attention.
